Prof. Dr. Engin Tutar was born in Istanbul in 1964. He completed his primary and secondary education at Istanbul Erkek Lisesi between 1975 and 1982, and graduated from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1988. In December of the same year, he started his specialization in the Department of Pediatrics at Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital, becoming a specialist in Pediatrics in February 1993. He completed his subspecialty training in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, becoming a subspecialist in 2006. He served as the Assistant Chief Physician and Acting Chief Physician at the 2nd Pediatric Clinic of Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital between 2010 and 2012. In May 2012, he transferred to Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, where he became an Associate Professor in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition in 2014, and a Professor in 2020. Alongside his international and national article authorships, he has given over 50 presentations at congresses/courses/association meetings. He retired in May 2024 while serving as the head of the Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition department at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine. Dr. Feryal Gun Soysal is a pediatric surgery specialist. She was Professor of Pediatric Surgery from 2013 to 2024. She has practiced at Memorial Ataşehir Hospital since 2017. She worked at Memorial Bahçelievler Hospital from 2020 to 2024. At the Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, she led the Department of Pediatric Surgery from 2022 to 2024. She also headed the Pediatric Urology Division during that time.

Dr. Ozden Gul is a general surgeon trained at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital. She has decades of surgical experience and is fluent in English.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saydam Mehmet is a general surgeon at Lokman Hekim Istanbul Hospital (2025–present). His work covers oncologic, endocrine, and metabolic surgery. He performs laparoscopic surgery, including hernia repair and anti-reflux procedures. He also treats morbid obesity and type 2 diabetes. Sleeve gastrectomy is among his key procedures.

Education: He graduated from the Gülhane Military Medical Academy, Faculty of Medicine (1995–2001). He completed his general surgery residency there (2004–2009). He was a research fellow at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, Ryder Trauma Center (2015–2016).

Experience: He worked as a general surgery specialist at GATA Haydarpaşa, Girne Military, and Mevki Military. He later served as Associate Professor of General Surgery at Dışkapı, Sancaktepe, and Medical Park Gebze. Earlier, he practiced as a general practitioner in military medical services.

Prof. Dr. Ayla Güven graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 1986 and completed her mandatory service at Ege University Chest Diseases Bornova Tuberculosis Dispensary. Following that, she started her specialization training in the Department of Child Health and Diseases at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine and became a specialist in 1993. After working as a specialist physician, she began her subspecialty training in Pediatric Endocrinology at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in September 2000 and became a Pediatric Endocrinology specialist in December 2002. In April 2003, she started working as an assistant professor at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine and worked in the Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes Department at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, USA, between May and November 2003. After returning to Turkey, she continued to work at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine. This clinic was the first to offer Pediatric Endocrinology subspecialty training in the country. During her time there, one person became a Pediatric Endocrinology specialist. On March 13, 2006, she successfully passed the exam and received the title of Associate Professor. Since December 2006, she has been working at Göztepe Training and Research Hospital. In this hospital, she was appointed as the head of the Pediatric Endocrinology clinic in November 2008 and started providing Pediatric Endocrinology subspecialty training for the first time in the hospital in March 2009. Between 2009 and 2017, she trained five Pediatric Endocrinology specialists. Most of the physicians she currently provides subspecialty training to have gained academic titles as professors and associate professors. After working as a training instructor at Health Sciences University Zeynep Kamil Hospital for Children and Women from 2017 to 2021, she retired at her request from public service. Between 2021 and 2024, she worked as a Pediatric Endocrinology specialist at Başkent University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Child Health and Diseases, at Istanbul Hospital.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atiye Fedakar completed her medical education at Selçuk University Meram Medical Faculty in Konya and then received her specialization training at the Göztepe Training and Research Hospital of the Ministry of Health. Atiye Fedakar, who received the title of Associate Professor in 2020, has numerous international and national articles and presentations. She has followed high-risk newborns and premature infants in neonatal intensive care units for many years. She participated in the “Post Graduate Program in Pediatric Nutrition” course at Boston University.
