Dia lahir pada tahun 1987 di Azerbaijan. Pada tahun 2004, dia lulus dari Sekolah Goranboy No. 39. Pada tahun 2006-2007 dia menjalani dinas militer selama 18 bulan di resimen No. 112 Kementerian Pertahanan di Baku. Pada tahun 2014, dia lulus dari Universitas Kedokteran Azerbaijan dan memperoleh gelar Dokter Kedokteran. Pada tahun 2014, dia berhasil lulus Ujian Bahasa Kedokteran yang diselenggarakan oleh ÖSYM dan pada tahun 2015, dia berhasil lulus Ujian Penempatan Doktor Kedokteran yang diselenggarakan oleh ÖSYM. He fulfilled his state service obligation at Diyarbakır Bismil State Hospital. In 2020, he started his doctoral studies on the epidemiology of psychosis at Maastricht University School of Mental Health and Neuroscience in the Netherlands and is still continuing. In 2021, she started working as a psychiatry specialist at NPISTANBUL AMATEM department. In 2023, she was awarded the title of associate professor in psychiatry. Dr. Ceylan Ergül continues to work as an associate professor at Üsküdar University Department of Mental Health and Diseases and continues her research in the fields of addiction and psychosis.

In 2016, she completed her specialty training at Çukurova University Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Mental Health and Diseases with herthesis on "Intergenerational Effect of Trauma in Children and Adolescents with Anxiety Disorder" and became a Child Psychiatry specialist in 2020. As of August 2024, she continues to work as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry specialist at NPISTANBUL Brain Hospital.
