Prof. Amos Toren, MD, PhD, MHA, is a pediatric hemato-oncologist and BMT specialist. He served as Director of Pediatric Hemato-Oncology and BMT at Sheba Medical Center.

He is board certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Hemato-Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplantation. He holds a PhD in Human Genetics. He was Head of the Hematology Division at Tel Aviv University for two terms. He is a member of ASH, COG, ESPHI, EBMT, and CIBMTR. He also serves on the Ministry of Health Cord Blood Committee.

He led one of Israel’s most advanced pediatric oncology and BMT programs. The program treated children and young adults. His focus includes leukemia and lymphoma, immunodeficiencies, and rare cancers. He specializes in BMT and CAR T-cell therapy.

His translational research covers CAR T cells, cytokine-induced killer cells, pediatric brain tumors, and targeted therapies. He has worked with St. Anna, the NIH, and St. Jude. His publications include studies on pediatric SCT prophylaxis and PARP resistance.

Dr. Almog Ben-Yaacov is an Attending Surgeon in the Department of General and Oncological Surgery (Surgery C) at Sheba Medical Center. He specializes in cytoreductive surgery (CRS) with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). His clinical focus includes gastric cancer, sarcoma, and complex colorectal malignancies. Since 2018, he has performed more than 200 HIPEC procedures.

Prof. Amit Tirosh is a senior endocrinologist and Head of the Neuroendocrine Tumors Service at Sheba Medical Center. He specializes in neuroendocrine tumors (NETs).

His work centers on hereditary NET syndromes. He is affiliated with the NIH in MEN1 research. He serves on an international VHL expert panel and helped write VHL management guidelines. He is the primary contact at Sheba’s multidisciplinary VHL clinic.

He leads the Endocrine Oncology Bioinformatics Lab. He collaborates with international teams, including the Weizmann Institute. He provides advanced NET care, including PRRT.

He earned his MD from the Hebrew University–Hadassah. He completed a residency at Assaf HaRofeh, an endocrinology fellowship at Rabin, and training at the NIH. He is board-certified in Endocrinology. Prof. Ben Boursi is a physician in the Gastrointestinal Cancer Department at Sheba Medical Center. He specializes in internal medicine, medical oncology, and cancer epidemiology. He is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. He earned a B.Med.Sc (summa cum laude) and an MD (magna cum laude) from Tel Aviv University.

He completed clinical and research fellowships in GI oncology and cancer epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania. He also completed electives at MD Anderson and Mayo Clinic. He founded the ECOG-ACRIN Microbiome Working Group. His microbiome-oncology research has been published in leading journals, including Science, and highlighted by ASCO.

He developed predictive models for early diagnosis of colorectal and pancreatic cancers. These models are now in clinical evaluation. He holds an academic appointment at Tel Aviv University. He is also an Associate Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Zohar Dotan is Head of the Urology Department at Sheba Medical Center. He is a leading uro-oncologist and a pioneer of robotic and laparoscopic urologic surgery in Israel.

He has authored more than 50 scientific publications. He is a regular speaker at international conferences. He has received awards from the American Association of Clinical Surgery, including recognition for research in prostate cancer treatment.

Dr. Nir Kleinmann, MD, directs the Endourology and Kidney Stones Unit at Sheba Medical Center. He is an expert in minimally invasive urology and urologic oncology. His focus is the kidney and upper urinary tract. He was named among Israel’s Best Doctors for 2025–2026 by Forbes and ResultMed.

He is a pioneer of kidney‑sparing laser surgery. He uses a dual‑laser system with neodymium and holmium for complex tumors. His expertise includes UTUC, kidney and prostate cancer, kidney stones, and BPH.

His research includes the OLYMPUS trial on chemoablation for UTUC. He has more than 60 publications.

He is an Israeli board‑certified urologist. He is a Fellow of the American Endourology Society and a member of the Israeli Urological Association and the EAU. Prof. Gil Raviv, MD, PhD, is Director of the Andrology Unit at Sheba Medical Center. He was listed among the Best Doctors in Israel by Forbes in 2024. He is a leading expert in male fertility, sexual medicine, and reconstructive urology.

His primary focus is male infertility and fertility preservation. He performs advanced semen analysis according to WHO standards. He carries out testicular sperm retrieval (TESE, TESA, MESA) and semen cryopreservation. He also provides comprehensive fertility diagnostics with histological analysis.

He is a Professor at Tel Aviv University. He trained in Siena, Rome, and Tel Aviv. He completed a fellowship in infertility and impotence at Erasme Hospital. He received advanced training in reconstructive urethral surgery in Ghent. He is a member of the European Association of Urology, the International Society for Sexual Medicine, and the Israeli Urological Association.

Professor Jair Bar, MD, PhD, is a thoracic oncologist and Deputy Director of the Cancer Center at Sheba Medical Center. He leads the Thoracic Oncology Unit. He treats lung cancer, including advanced non-small cell cases. His care includes medical oncology, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.

He runs a translational research lab focused on resistance to immunotherapy. He has published on exhaled-breath cancer metabolism and on angiogenesis inhibition in lung cancer.

He has chaired the Israel Lung Cancer Group since 2003. He is a member of the Israel Society of Clinical Oncology and Radiotherapy, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Association for Cancer Research. He is board-certified in Medical Oncology and Radiotherapy Oncology. He is a Senior Lecturer at Tel Aviv University.

Dr. Boaz Liberman, MD, is an orthopedic oncologist and sarcoma surgeon for adults and children. He directs the Orthopedic Oncology Unit and serves as Vice Head of Orthopedic Surgery at Sheba Medical Center. His focus is limb-sparing cancer surgery with functional reconstruction. He performs complex joint reconstruction, revision arthroplasty, MRgFUS, and reconstruction after bone metastases.

Dr. Eytan Aharon Ben‑Ami, MD, is a Senior Physician in the Sarcoma and Bone Oncology Service at Sheba Medical Center. He heads the Oncology Division and the Early-Phase Clinical Trials Unit. He founded the Sheba Clinical Research Organization. He is an academic affiliate at Tel Aviv University.

He specializes in sarcomas and primary bone tumors, including soft tissue sarcoma, liposarcoma, leiomyosarcoma, and osteosarcoma. He leads Phase I trials in targeted therapy and immunotherapy. He designs personalized treatment plans for rare cancers. He also develops patient-centered programs, including pilots in advanced immunotherapy delivery.

He completed a fellowship in Sarcoma and Bone Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Cancer Center. He has authored more than 40 publications on early detection, molecular and viral mechanisms, and new cancer therapies.

Dr. Yaacov Lawrence, MA, MBBS, MRCP, is Chair of Radiation Oncology at Sheba Medical Center. He has nearly 30 years of experience in precision radiation oncology and neuro-oncology.

He is an expert in advanced radiation therapy and radiosurgery. He performs stereotactic radiosurgery for brain tumors. He leads Sheba’s GI Cancer Program in gastrointestinal oncology. He also provides precision care for lung and prostate cancers. He pioneered celiac plexus radiosurgery for severe pain from pancreatic cancer.

Training and credentials: MA and MBBS (Cambridge and UCLH); MRCP (RCP); Radiation Oncology fellowship (Thomas Jefferson University). Prof. Elad Jacoby, MD, heads the Pediatric Cell Therapy Center at Sheba Medical Center. He is the Medical Director of the Advanced Biotherapy Center. He is a pioneer of pediatric CAR T‑cell therapy in Israel. He led one of the first national leukemia programs. He has almost 20 years of clinical and research experience.

He specializes in CAR T‑cell therapy, bone marrow and stem cell transplantation, and high‑risk pediatric leukemias and lymphomas. He leads international clinical trials and has authored over 240 publications. His collaborations include Johns Hopkins Hospital and the U.S. National Cancer Institute. He is an Associate Professor at Tel Aviv University. He received his MD from Tel Aviv University, completed residency at Sheba Medical Center, and fellowships at Johns Hopkins and the National Cancer Institute. He is board‑certified in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. He serves on the IBFM CAR T‑Cell Taskforce and the Sheba Institutional Review Board.
