Dr. Gülümser Kızıltaş Tokmak is a board-certified neurologist. She specializes in advanced neurophysiological diagnostics. Ia menyelesaikan pendidikan dasarnya di Sekolah Dasar Şenlikköy dan pendidikan menengahnya di Yayasan Istek Florya Bilge Kagan High School. Ia lulus dari Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Istanbul Cerrahpaşa pada tahun 2001. Ia menyelesaikan pendidikan spesialisnya di Departemen Neurologi Fakultas Kedokteran Istanbul pada tahun 2006. Pada tahun 2006, ia bekerja di Klinik Neurologi dan PharmaZentrum Research Center dari Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Basel, Swiss. Antara tahun 2007 dan 2011, ia bekerja di Prof. Dr. Mazhar Osman Rumah Sakit Pelatihan dan Penelitian Kesehatan Mental dan Penyakit Saraf Bakırköy di Klinik Neurologi ke-3 dan di poliklinik Demensia dan Gangguan Gerak. He became an Associate Professor in 1994 and continued working in Istanbul University until 1999. Between 1999 - 2002, he worked at the Kadir Has University and also Florence Nightingale Hospital.

He served in the Faculty executive committee of Kadir Has University during 1999 - 2000 and became a professor in 2000. Following that, worked in the Kozyatağı Hospital between 2004 - 2013.
