Dr. n. med. Marek Filipek serves as the Head of the Urology Department of the Independent Specialist Western Hospital in Grodzisk Mazowiecki. He created from scratch one of the most modern and best equipped urology departments in Poland. For many years, Dr. Filipek was associated with the Urology Clinic of the Jagiellonian University Medical College, where he worked as a senior assistant and lecturer. In the years 2000-2006, he was the head of the Urology Department of the St. Luke Provincial Hospital in Tarnów.

He participated in many scientific and advanced courses. He spent internships and scholarships in many prestigious foreign urology centers, including the Professor F. Dr. Ramazan Gökhan Atış, born in Istanbul in 1978, graduated from Cağaloğlu Anatolian High School in 1996. He completed his medical education at Çapa Faculty of Medicine in 2002. Between 2002 and 2008, he received his specialization training at the Istanbul Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital Department of Urology, and obtained the title of Urology Specialist in February 2008. After working at Edremit Military Hospital between 2008 and 2009, he started working as a Urology specialist at Istanbul Göztepe Training and Research Hospital in 2009. In 2011, he underwent a 3-month Laparoscopy-Robotic Urology training at Heidelberg University Heillbronn Clinic. Between 2009 and 2014, he conducted numerous scientific research studies, especially in the field of endourology, and obtained the title of Associate Professor in September 2014. In 2017, he was elected as a board member of the Endourology Society and has been serving in this position since then. Since 2018, he has been actively involved in the Endourology working group of the European Association of Urology, Young Academic Urologists (EAU-YAU) Committee for a period of 2 years. In January 2021, he was appointed as a Professor at the Istanbul Medeniyet University Department of Urology.After that started working at Şişli Memorial Hospital in 2022. Dr. Javier Romero Otero is a specialist in prostatic pathology, andrology, and reconstructive genital surgery. He is the Director of HM Hospitales in Madrid and Medical Director of ROC Global Health. He also teaches at Complutense University of Madrid.

He leads the R&D group in comprehensive male health. Dr. Romero Otero has published over 70 research papers in PubMed-indexed journals and contributed to more than 25 book chapters. He serves on editorial committees for several specialized journals. He has presented over 200 papers at scientific conferences and holds important roles in scientific associations in his field.

Prof. Dr. Ali Ferruh Akay is a board-certified urologist with more than 30 years of medical experience. He has specialized in urology for over 25 years. He currently serves as Professor of Urology at Başkent University Istanbul Hospital.

Dr. Akay earned his medical degree from Dokuz Eylul University. He completed his urology residency at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine. In 2005, he received advanced training in Endourology and Laparoscopic Surgery at the University of Rochester in the USA.

He has worked at several leading institutions. These include Dicle University, Istanbul Training and Research Hospital, Memorial Diyarbakır Hospital, Veni Vidi Hospital, and Başkent University Istanbul Hospital.

Dr. Akay’s expertise includes uro-oncology, endourology, minimally invasive procedures, stone surgeries, male infertility, erectile dysfunction, and BPH. He has published over 100 scientific articles and is an active member of the European Association of Urology (EAU).

Dr. Tommaso Lupattelli is a surgeon specialized in Interventional Radiology and Vascular Surgery, recognized as one of the leading experts in Italy in the execution of the embolization technique. Graduated with honors in 1999 from the University of Perugia, he subsequently obtained specializations in Radiology and Interventional Radiology, as well as in Vascular Surgery at the State University of Milan. He perfected his skills by working for two years in prestigious university hospitals in London, refining advanced surgical techniques.

Dr. Lupattelli was a professor in Radiology and Interventional Radiology at the University of Perugia and has held numerous courses, both in Italy and abroad, on the revascularization of the lower limb and the embolization treatment of fibroids.

The embolization of male varicocele is a minimally invasive procedure that Dr. Lupattelli performs with high competence. This procedure, performed as a day surgery, allows the patient to return home approximately one hour after treatment, with a rapid recovery and no scars. Compared to traditional surgery, embolization offers numerous advantages, including less invasiveness, no significant pain, and an extremely low recurrence rate.

He has performed approximately 3,000 embolization procedures (up to May 2021) demonstrating extensive experience in the field of endovascular procedures.

In 2019, he was awarded the European Community Physician of the Year prize for the development and dissemination of the embolization technique and was interviewed by the prestigious Forbes magazine regarding the techniques he developed.
