My journey to renewing my beauty, now at age 44 began with the realization that I did not want to use temporary facial fillers as an answer to my signs of aging. My face had become more and more hollow under the eyes and cheeks, with deepening laughing lines and a more bonier forehead. Upon realizing that no amount of foundation and make up could cover this, and seeing that this really began to bother how I felt about myself, I knew I needed to find a solution in my fight against these signs of aging.
In my research I discovered the FAMI: an organic process of your own adult stem cells actively working in you to renew and rebuild at the deepest cellular levels, which includes bones, facial fat tissues and muscles. Upon learning that FAMI was actually pioneered by Dr. Roger Amar himself, and that other doctors from around the world have been trained by him on this, I knew that I wanted his expertise on the technique and proven depth of knowledge on facial anatomy to help me regain a more youthful appearance. FAMI has given my face a continual day-by-day rejuvenation which is visible now months later and with certainty on a future ongoing basis as well. It’s like your face is being born again; FAMI resets your entire system.
So all that to say, I am deeply grateful to Dr. Amar and his wonderful London and Marbella staff who have been a godsend to me in my quest to renewing beauty and rediscovering a better self image. This not only include FAMI (Dec 2020), but Dr. Amar just redid (April 2021) my past breast augmentation that was done by another doctor which had major asymmetrical issues. As with FAMI, I trusted him to discern the corrections needed, to know me in detail anatomically and utilize his decades of knowledge and expertise in aesthetic procedures, which also include breast augmentation.
The simple fact is, not all doctors are at the same level in their knowledge, expertise and certainly not in their motivation and care for you. What initially convinced me to choose Dr. Amar was his decades of experience in helping both men and women find anti-aging solutions and the fact he was the one who developed FAMI. How I know I made the right choice, was not only because of the amazing results of my FAMI and breast augmentation procedure, but in getting to know Dr. Amar I discovered a kind soul that deeply cares about people. As he put it, regarding what he rejoices about in his work is seeing a patient: “regain that sparkle in their eyes”. To know that he truly understood what it meant for me to attain a renewed sense of beauty through these procedures, was genuine care and compassion I didn’t expect, but I am blessed to have.
A final point about the FAMI procedure: It is important to understand that the FAMI process is not like the quick fix of getting facial fillers, but rather a process that has different stages of changes taking place over a period of time. My first three months for example entailed the biggest transformations from the normal initial swelling to the settling of the stem cells, which recreate your facial contours. It is important to have realistic expectations about recovery time and about the fact that your face will go through a gradual transformation. The 6-month point is when the results are considered permanent as that's when all the regenerative activity has settled down and your face is in its new norm.
