Ophthalmology Clinic (Eye Clinic JL) specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmic diseases. It is offering a variety of methods and options from cataract and laser eye surgery to vision examinations with the help of non-invasive therapeutic procedures.

The Clinic was founded in 1995 by MD Jan Leštak. Doctor Lešták is a member of the Czech Ophthalmological Society and Czech Glaucoma Society.

The Clinic was the first in the Czech Republic to carry out intraocular operations on the front segment of the eye on an outpatient basis.

The Eye Clinic of Jan Lestak has achieved great success in:

• microsurgery of the anterior and posterior segments of the eye;
• relieving patients of strabismus of various origin;
• conducting surgeries for all types of glaucoma;
• treatment of cataract, during which doctors use new implant materials and the most advanced equipment developed in the US.

The staff of the Hospital participates in the clinical evaluation of new medications (in cooperation with Pfizer and Servier), as well as the testing of implants, ophthalmological instruments, and equipment that are conducted on behalf of Czech Ministry of Health.
