Prof. Dr. Florian Fitzal is a leading Austrian oncologic and breast surgeon, internationally recognized for his expertise in breast cancer surgery, reconstructive techniques, and tumor biology research. With decades of experience in academic and clinical surgery, he has played a major role in advancing cancer treatment strategies and improving outcomes for patients across Europe.
He studied medicine at the University of Vienna, graduating in the 1990s, and completed his surgical residency at the Medical University of Vienna, where he soon specialized in general and visceral surgery. His early clinical and research work focused on surgical oncology, particularly breast cancer treatment and the optimization of oncologic surgery.
