Dr. Hayrettin Kesmezacar is an orthopaedic surgeon at Gayrettepe Florence Nightingale Hospital in Istanbul. He joined the hospital in 2013 and holds a current appointment from 2024. His training includes residency and fellowship at Cerrahpaşa in 1997 and 2000. He completed visiting fellowships at Cornell HSS in 2004 and Western Ontario/LHSC in 2009. He holds a CRA certificate from Oxford College (2024). As of 2024, he serves as a CRA at Mount Sinai Hospital ICU Research (iCORE).

He has peer-reviewed publications in J Shoulder Elbow Surg, Acta Orthop Traumatol Turc, Arthroscopy, and others. His work includes a 22.4-year follow-up study on displaced supracondylar humerus fractures. He also reported 6-year outcomes for hallux valgus.
