Prof. Amos Toren, MD, PhD, MHA, is a pediatric hemato-oncologist and BMT specialist. He served as Director of Pediatric Hemato-Oncology and BMT at Sheba Medical Center.

He is board certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Hemato-Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplantation. He holds a PhD in Human Genetics. Dr. Hana Golan, MD, heads the Pediatric Hemato-Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) Division at Sheba Medical Center. She specializes in childhood cancers, with a focus on neuroblastoma and other high-risk solid tumors.

She leads one of the region’s most advanced pediatric oncology programs. She manages complex, high-risk cases and practices at a hospital ranked in the global top 10.

She is the principal investigator of the High-Risk Neuroblastoma ESIOP protocol. She serves as an investigator in international Phase I/II trials and as the national coordinator of multicenter oncology protocols. She led the development of computerized chemotherapy protocols and patient databases to improve safety.

She earned her MD from the Technion. She completed residencies in pediatrics and pediatric hemato-oncology at Sheba. She conducted advanced research in transplantation immunology at the Weizmann Institute. She is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology-Oncology. She is a Senior Lecturer at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. Dr. Einat Shacham‑Shmueli is a senior medical oncologist at the Gastrointestinal Clinic, Cancer Center, Sheba Medical Center. She treats cancers of the colon, stomach, and pancreas. She also manages metastatic disease. She uses precision diagnostics and biomarkers, systemic therapies, and radiotherapy. Care is provided within a multidisciplinary team.

She has authored more than 25 peer‑reviewed papers on GI oncology, tumor biology, and new treatments. Her work includes studies on stenting for malignant colonic obstruction. Prof. Zvi Cohen is Director of the Neurosurgery Department and the Neuro-Oncology Unit at Sheba Medical Center. He is a neurosurgeon and neuro-oncology expert. He was included in Forbes Israel’s Best Doctors 2025. He leads clinical research on drug therapies for malignant brain tumors. He also founded Sheba’s brain tumor tissue bank.

He is board-certified in neurosurgery. He trained at Tel Aviv University. He completed fellowships in neuroradiology at Beth Israel and in neurosurgical oncology at MD Anderson. His practice covers complex brain, pituitary, spine, and spinal cord tumors. He has expertise in stereotactic biopsies, image-guided resections, intraoperative MRI, navigation systems, and radiosurgery. He is a member of the Society for Neuro-Oncology and the Israeli Association of Neurological Surgeons.

Prof. Amit Tirosh is a senior endocrinologist and Head of the Neuroendocrine Tumors Service at Sheba Medical Center. He specializes in neuroendocrine tumors (NETs).

His work centers on hereditary NET syndromes. He is affiliated with the NIH in MEN1 research. He serves on an international VHL expert panel and helped write VHL management guidelines. He is the primary contact at Sheba’s multidisciplinary VHL clinic.

He leads the Endocrine Oncology Bioinformatics Lab. He collaborates with international teams, including the Weizmann Institute. He provides advanced NET care, including PRRT.

He directs the Orthopedic Oncology Unit and serves as Vice Head of Orthopedic Surgery at Sheba Medical Center. His focus is limb-sparing cancer surgery with functional reconstruction. He performs complex joint reconstruction, revision arthroplasty, MRgFUS, and reconstruction after bone metastases.

His research covers bone and soft tissue sarcomas, serum markers, imaging-guided therapies, MRI arthrography, and the biomechanics of bone treated with MRgFUS.

Dr. David (Dudi) Mishali, MD, is Director of Pediatric and Congenital Cardiothoracic Surgery at Sheba Medical Center. He treats infants and children with congenital heart defects. His work includes rare, high-risk anomalies and complex newborn reconstructions.

He trained internationally. He completed his residency at Rabin Medical Center and clinical fellowships in cardiac surgery at the Cleveland Clinic and in congenital pediatric cardiothoracic surgery at UCSF. He is board certified in cardiothoracic surgery. He developed and implemented minimally invasive methods that reduce surgical trauma and improve cosmetic results.

He is a Senior Lecturer at Tel Aviv University’s Sackler Faculty of Medicine. He has written many peer-reviewed papers and book chapters, including on point-of-care testing in children during cardiopulmonary bypass and on accessory mitral valve tissue. He holds a leadership role at a hospital ranked among the world’s top 10.

Professor Jair Bar, MD, PhD, is a thoracic oncologist and Deputy Director of the Cancer Center at Sheba Medical Center. He leads the Thoracic Oncology Unit. He treats lung cancer, including advanced non-small cell cases. His care includes medical oncology, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.

He runs a translational research lab focused on resistance to immunotherapy. He has published on exhaled-breath cancer metabolism and on angiogenesis inhibition in lung cancer.

He has chaired the Israel Lung Cancer Group since 2003. He is a member of the Israel Society of Clinical Oncology and Radiotherapy, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Association for Cancer Research.
