He earned his medical degree from Atatürk University in Erzurum. He completed specialty training in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Erciyes University. Over several decades in leading Turkish hospitals, he has treated thousands of patients with spinal conditions. He has also trained future spine surgeons. In 2013, the Turkish Ministry of Health named him Doctor of the Year.

He currently practices at Central Hospital in Istanbul. He provides advanced, patient-centered orthopedic care for scoliosis, kyphosis, spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, fractures, tumors, infections, and spinal deformities. He also performs joint replacement.
