TTB ve Türkiye Psikiyatri Derneği üyesidir. NPFUAM Yönetim Kurulu üyesidir. TPD Nörobilim ile Psikofarmakoloji ve Somatik Sağaltımlar Çalışma Birimleri’nde görev yapmaktadır.

Dr. Nurperi Gazioglu is a neurosurgeon. She trained at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. She earned her MD in 1984 after study from 1978 to 1984. She completed neurosurgery training from 1986 to 1993. Her 1993 dissertation examined “Fetal Hypophysis Transplantation Under the Renal Capsule in Rats.”

She completed advanced courses in endoscopic pituitary surgery (2005, 2007, 2008) and endoscopic lumbar disc surgery (2007). She also trained in molecular genetics for clinicians (2003) and CME with the World Federation of Neurology (2002). She studied epilepsy surgery focused on insular–hippocampal anatomy (1999) and thoracolumbar trauma (1998). She attended the EANS European Neurosurgery Course (1988). Her clinical training includes observerships at APHP Necker–Enfants Malades and Hôpital Lariboisière in 1991. She completed an internship there in 1999.

Dr Roberto Hernandez Pena is a neurosurgeon based in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. He works with fellow neurosurgeon Dr Nestor Rodriguez. Together, they perform 30 to 60 neurosurgeries each month.

Dr Hernandez Pena trained in the United States and Canada. He uses the latest technology in all surgical procedures.

Assoc. Prof.  Nesrin Helvacı Yılmaz graduated from Hacettepe University in 2000 as a Medical Doctor.  She completed her specialty training in the Department of Neurology at Ankara University in 2006.

She started her compulsory service in Mardin Nusaybin State Hospital in 2007.  Nesrin Helvacı Yılmaz continued her duty in Gaziantep 27 December State Hospital in 2008.  She worked as a neurologist at Biophysis Nilüfer Medical Center and Ali Osman Sönmez Oncology Hospital in Bursa between 2010-2011, and at Istanbul Universal Aksaray Hospital between 2011-2012. From October 2012, she started to work as a Doctor Lecturer in Istanbul Medipol University Neurology Department.  Nesrin Helvacı Yılmaz received the title of associate professor in 2021.  In 2015, she worked as an Honorary Observer in Parkinson's Disease and Deep Brain Stimulation (Neuromodulation) at UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology, National Hospital for Neurology in London.  She took part in many training programs on Deep Brain Stimulation (Neuromodulation) in Turkey and abroad between 2013-2022.

Regarding her speciality in Parkinson's disease and movement disorders, she has 5 Tubitak projects, a 2-chapter book , 30 clinical researches and 80 reports presented in domestic and abroad. Assoc. Prof. Nesrin Helvacı Yılmaz, who is still working within the staff of Medipol University, managed the Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Unit of the Department of Neurology during her working time and plans Deep Brain Stimulation therapy applications with the neurosurgical team.

Since September 2018, she has been working as a coordinator for student education in the 5th semester of Neurology. As of December 2022, she has developed treatment plans for patients at Medipol University Istanbul Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center (PARMER) and provides the most appropriate personal medical follow-up and treatment support for each patient.

Op. Dr. Kemal Paksoy was born in Trabzon in 1982. In 2007, he graduated from Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine. In 2014, he completed his specialty training at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurosurgery. Between 2014-2018, he worked at Rize Kaçkar State Hospital Neurosurgery Clinic. Between 2018 and 2024, he worked at Memorial Hospitals Group Spine Center. Dr. İdris AVCI was born in Ordu in 1988. After primary and high school education in Germany, he graduated from Yeditepe Faculty of Medicine in 2014. She was born in Istanbul in 1986. He graduated from Üsküdar American High School in 2004. In 2010, she graduated from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine and received the title of doctor of medicine. In 2011, he started his specialty training at Istanbul Medical Faculty, Department of Mental Health and Diseases and became a psychiatry specialist in 2016. He fulfilled his state service obligation at Diyarbakır Bismil State Hospital. In 2020, he started his doctoral studies on the epidemiology of psychosis at Maastricht University School of Mental Health and Neuroscience in the Netherlands and is still continuing. In 2021, she started working as a psychiatry specialist at NPISTANBUL AMATEM department. In 2023, she was awarded the title of associate professor in psychiatry. Dr. Ceylan Ergül continues to work as an associate professor at Üsküdar University Department of Mental Health and Diseases and continues her research in the fields of addiction and psychosis.

Professor Erol Akgül is an Interventional Neuroradiologist and a member of the World Federation of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology, Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe, European Association of Radiology, Turkish Society of Radiology, Turkish Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, Turkish Society of Neuroradiology, and Turkish Medical Association.

She graduated from Ankara Başkent High School in 1992 and Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 1999. She completed her specialty training at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and became a psychiatry specialist in 2005.

She has received Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Group Supervision training; Level I and II Family Therapies Training; Cognitive Psychotherapy Training; Family and Relationship Therapies Training and has articles published in local and foreign journals. Her field of interest is family and relationship therapies.

Dr. Melek Gozde Lus graduated from the Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine in 1999. She completed her residency in Child and Adolescent Mental Health at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Capa) in 2008. She then served at Erzurum Regional Training and Research Hospital from 2008 to 2010.

She focuses on ADHD, dyslexia, autism and Asperger syndrome, and other neurodevelopmental disorders. She also treats developmental delays, anxiety, and OCD. Her training includes CBT (basic and supervision) for children and adolescents. She is trained in child-centered and CBT play therapy, and in filial therapy with structured play and art. She holds international certification in schema therapy.

Her thesis examined bipolar co-diagnosis in children with ADHD. She has published articles in national and international journals on ADHD, autism, and internet addiction. She is a member of the Turkish Medical Association, the Turkish Psychiatric Association, the Child and Youth Mental Health Association, and the American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She contributed to Turkey’s Autism Action Plan by providing early diagnosis training for family physicians.

Dr. Nihal Tastekin is a psychiatrist. She completed her residency in 2020 at Istanbul Erenköy Mental and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital. She graduated from Pamukkale University Faculty of Medicine in 2013. Her thesis examined the clinical and cognitive effects of a computer-assisted cognitive improvement method in people with opioid use disorder.

She completed her state service at Bolu İzzet Baysal Mental Health and Diseases Hospital from October 2020 to June 2022. She provided AMATEM outpatient and inpatient care from April 2021 to June 2022. She has worked at the NP Istanbul Brain Hospital AMATEM clinic since June 2022.

Professional interests include addiction, anxiety disorders, cognitive remediation, dynamic psychotherapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Dr. Saban Sec is a medical oncologist with experience at leading hospitals, including Haseki Training and Research Hospital, Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşcıoğlu City Hospital, and Bahçelievler Medikalpark Hospital. He currently represents specialist physicians in the Turkish Medical Oncology Association. He is also a member of the Istanbul Medical Chamber and the Turkish Medical Oncology Association.

Prof. Dr. Yasef began his medical education at Istanbul University in 1973 and graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1979. He started his specialization in neurology at the same university in 1980 and became a neurologist in 1985. During his specialty training, he spent 6 months at Hacettepe University in the Neurology Department in Ankara.

After becoming a neurologist, he completed 3.5 years of obligatory government service, spending the first 1.5 years at the Iskenderun Navy Hospital and the next 2 years at Diyarbakır Social Security Hospital. He returned to Istanbul University in 1989.

Specialist of regenerative medicine

Prof. Dr. med. univ. Wilfried Lang is an Austrian neurologist. Since 2002, he has led the Department of Neurology, Neurological Rehabilitation, and Acute Geriatrics at the Hospital of the Brothers of Mercy in Vienna. His clinical and research work focuses on stroke prevention, acute treatment, and rehabilitation.

He studied medicine at the University of Ulm from 1977 to 1983. He then completed specialist training in neurology and psychiatry in Vienna. His early research examined motor function and memory in the cerebral cortex.

He helped to establish Austria’s stroke registry. He has held leadership roles in the Austrian Stroke Society. He is also Professor of Neurology at Sigmund Freud Private University in Vienna.
